Sonus to Be Delisted From Nasdaq

Associated Press
08.12.2004

Communications hardware and software company Sonus Networks Inc. said Thursday that Nasdaq denied the company additional time to file its quarterly report and will delist its stock Friday.

Shares of Sonus recently traded down 31 cents, or nearly 8 percent, to $3.77 on the Nasdaq.

The company previously said it would be unable to file its Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30 by the Aug. 9 deadline and had asked the Nasdaq for an Aug. 30 extension. The company needed the additional time to complete a recent detailed financial review and to restate its financial results from 2001 to 2003, Sonus said.

Sonus said it will make every effort to file its Form 10-Q by Aug. 30 and seek re-listing on the Nasdaq.

Until then, the company expects its stock to be quoted on the pink sheets as it is ineligible to trade on the OTC Bulletin Board because it is not current in its reporting requirements.
